Snow Day

I am so glad that I ventured up to the suburbs today. It is the first official snow day! The sky is so full of snow and it is sticking to everything. The snowflakes are as big as quarters and it looks beautiful. The girls and I celebrated by making paper snowflakes, what a nice surprise for a Tuesday.

Still Dancing..

...to the same mix. Madeline loves making videos of herself. When she started dancing I was not expecting her to rock an air guitar move. It was pretty awesome.

Life is Full

Kids Mix

Styers Apple Orchard

Yesterday we took a little family trip out of the city to Styers Apple Orchard. We had such a great time and we couldn't have had nicer weather. We took a tractor ride out to the orchard and the girls picked a couple of buckets of apples. Then we picked pumpkins. I have no idea what we are going to do with all these pumpkins. I guess we will have to make pie! This morning was filled with apple eating, pealing, baking and saucing. The house still smells delicious.

Is Nick Cave Appropriate for Children?

Probably not. Bummer.

I put on a couple of "kid safe" Nick Cave songs on for the girls and I don't think that they appreciated him so much. Madeline's favorite song was "Little Janey's Gone," which is kind of weird. I did find a pretty great kid song, but Madeline was kind of freaked out. Can I blame her? Who could possibly think that Shane Macgowan and Nick Cave were kind of weird? At least there were sparkles in the background to keep her attention.

Jane's First Hair Cut

As many of you know I have been putting off cutting Jane's hair for a long while. I thought that eventually it might swoop to the side, but it only has grown into her eyes more. Jesse and I decided to give her her first haircut. She did very, very well.

Teeth Time

The Wedding is Over

This week has been filled with wedding activities. My sister and I threw a bridal shower for Elise last Wednesday and it turned out beautifully. I made brownies with homemade whipped cream with berries and peanut butter buckeyes. My sister brought over the most amazing cheese spread. We also had fresh fig preserves that Jesse made a couple weeks ago.




The wedding was really beautiful yesterday. Madeline and Jane were the flower girls and they were super sweet. Welcome to our crazy family Elise!
