Lazy Day Baking

Elise came over this morning and we did some fabulous baking with the girls. We made delicious pumpkin whoopie pies.
We have been baking a lot lately. I think it is because I have been so cold and I really just want to stand next to the warm oven. I usually end up giving all the "goods" away because I don't want them tempting me from the corner of the kitchen. So, come visit and I will give you a baked treat!

Hoboken

Last night we had a show at a club in Hoboken, NJ. It was nice to get out of Philly for the night. We had a great trip and show. It did remind me of one of my favorite childhood books, The Hoboken Chicken Emergency. It is about a little boy who brings home a 6ft chicken named Henrietta for Thanksgiving instead of turkey.
Mark December 12th on your calendars, we are playing at Johnny Brenda's with the Meat Puppets. It should be pretty fun!

Art Shop

This year has been a little crazier for preparing for Art Shop. Somehow I am having a hard time juggling watching the kids, sleeping, throwing up, getting our house ready to sell, weekend band trips, "normal life", and sewing. Although this is my 3rd Art Shop being pregnant (um...crazy), it seems harder this time to be motivated. I do have a couple things to sell and I can promise that I enjoyed making whatever I put out.
I really do love to sew.

Halloween and Number 3

Halloween was a success. We pranced around the neighborhood with some friends until Jane was ready to pass out. I think Ruke could have gone around for another hour or so. I was super tired too, because I am newly pregnant. Crazy right!? I am still adjusting to the idea of having a 3rd child, we were taken by surprise by the news. I know that in time I will be very excited to see our family grow to 5. As for now, I am cranky, sick, and a little troubled by the thought of life getting even more insane. I will come around eventually. So, if you see me and I am a little grumpy, please forgive me.
