A Busy Weekend
This weekend has been filled with activity! On Friday Jesse and I had the pleasure of dropping the kids of at his parents house for a sleepover. We did something that we hardly get to do, go out for dinner together. It was great. Later that night I had a show at Johnny Brendas which was super fun. We played with the Meat Puppets, which I decided if you didn't like back in the day you probably wouldn't like them now. Luckily because Meat Puppet fans are devoted old rockers the show was packed out and (it seemed) like everyone was having a super fun time listening to us, a band that they probably had never heard of. I loved Friday night.
Saturday was a bust in the morning. I think I have this maternal sensor that recognizes when my kids are not close. I woke up at 7am, wide awake with no chances of falling asleep. This was after a night of being up until 2am. Sigh. Whatever, I got some great alone time. When Jesse finally got up we went and got our Christmas tree. I couldn't wait to get the girls to decorate it, so we headed up to get them. The evening was filled with Christmas music, hot chocolate and house decorating. I loved every minute of it until I realized I had to mop up all the sap on the floor. I was exhausted.

Then I got a call that my client was in labor. Awesome. I actually was very excited that she was in labor, I was just very tired. Luckily for her and me the whole duration of her labor was 4 or 5 hour long. It was probably the most amazing birth I had been able to assist. I was home by 12ish and got a good nights sleep.
Sunday felt warm and family filled. We went food shopping and met up with some good friends.

Down Town
Well, we had "one of those mornings," meaning a great morning! The girls and I had a great time hanging out at the rocketcat for breakfast then an adventure downtown. We went to go look for Christmas presents for the grandma's. You know when you find the perfect parking spot, and the perfect gift, and have perfect timing to go see the the light show - it feels great. Anyway- I hope the rest of our Christmas journeys go as smooth as today did.

I Need a Day Off
Today has been a fun day with the girls but I am feeling like I need a day off. For those who know me quiet well you know that I love this Monica song. (Carina- when are we going to make our "baby baby baby" mix?! This one is for you.)
We did make cupcakes today though, that was fun. Come over and grab one!
