If I Had One Wish...

If you don't know, now you do...I have a huge crush on XZibit. I think that if I had one wish in the world it would be to wake up to a jacked up Bronco II outside my house that would soon swept away to West Coast Customs. All the while XZibit a would be making funny jokes and thinking how cool I am that I love Bronco II's. Ha!!! When I got it back it would be the sweetest, most pimped out Bronco II that ever was....EVER!

Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles

I can not get enough of this recipe. I have made these cookies 3 times within the last 3 weeks. They are super good and I just wanted to share the recipe. (Although, I haven't made them with the coconut flakes because I didn't have them. They are still unbelievable!)

::whole wheat snickerdoodles::

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 1/3 cups organic sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups white whole wheat pastry flour
1/4 cup organic UN-sweetened dry coconut flakes
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

to roll the cookies in
2 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbsp turbinado sugar

-Preheat the oven to 375 ºF
-Line your cookie sheets with parchment paper
-In a medium bowl stir together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar. Put aside.
-In a mixer, beat sugar with butter until light and creamy - about a minute or two.
-Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
-Add in the flour mixture a bit at a time until combined...

-In a small bowl, combine the 2 tsp cinnamon and 3 Tbsp sugar
-Roll bits of dough into balls (about 1 1/2 Tbsp per ball) and then roll in the cinnamon mixture to coat.
-Put the cookies about 2-3 inches apart on the cookie sheets.
-Bake for about 10 minutes...cookies should be light and golden.
-Let the cookies cool for a minute or two before transferring them to a cooling rack.

Where I got the recipe.

Mothers with Booty

So if you google "mother's with booty" guess what comes up. LoverMother!!!

Morning Snow

The girls were very excited that there was enough snow to take a little trip on the sled this morning. We all layered up and headed outside after breakfast. Jesse and I decided a couple months ago that we live on Sesame St.. We walked to Marni's house then back around the block to see Uncle Ben and Aunt Elise. After a nice cup of hot chocolate the girls enjoyed watching Aunt Lisa and Uncle Adly clean off their car in front of our house. It is so nice to have so many friends and family less than a block away. When they got cold it was time to go in- or the little tears would freeze!

Jump in With Me

2 days ago Madeline was reading one of her favorite books up in the nursery. At the end of the book there is an picture of a bunch of animals sitting around a table having a party. There is an open chair in the book which is told to be the readers chair. As Madeline was looking at the picture she put the book on the floor and she told me that she was going to jump into the book. She then jumps right on the tiny picture of the chair and with much disappointment exclaims "It didn't work! It works when Dora does it."

Of course this was one of the sweetest things I have seen her do recently. I thought it was pretty amazing that she really thought she could jump into a magical world. Pretty amazing. I wish that she could have jumped in there, although i think she would have been freaked out.
